INGREDIENTS

- 1 lbs ground beef browned
- 1 medium onion chopped and lightly fried
- 1 28oz can of canned tomatoes (I used the italian seasoned ones)
- 2 cups of water
- 1 ltr of beef broth
- 1 can tomatoe soup
- 4 carrots sliced
- 3 sticks of celery sliced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 8 to 10 tbsp pot barley (rinsed well under cold water)
- salt & pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS

- simmer covered for at least 2 hours
